Scene in Spring

As we all know, in 2008, the "big" colors were fuschia, purple, gold, yellow, and green. But what colors are big in 'o9, you might ask? According to www.fashiontrendsetter.com, the big colors in Spring 2009 will be fuschia, salmon, turqouise, seafoam, yellow, olive, lavender, green, grey, and rose. They also say the prominent colors (they colors used most) will be lavender, celery, blush, and beige. So what clothes should you buy to fit these colors?

Totes are going to be HUGE in 2009. I already got mine. It's an Andy Warhol Campbell tomato soup tote. Sooo cute. Other cute totes that are in style this year: http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/store/nodePage.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302028561&bmUID=1231783768506

Belts are another thing that's going to be popular. Especially at your waist instead of in your belt loops.

According to fashion experts, the key looks of '09 will be...Drum roll please...See-through a sheer fabrics, fringed clothing, one shouldered tops, Grecian dresses, butterflies, jewel encrested clothing, stomachs showing, and fairy tale inspired clothing.

My ideas for trends are: vintage swim suits (like from the '40s and '50s), tank tops, rockabilly, mod a line dresses, the color gold, and jumper skirts.

According to scene and emo websites, they say the trends of 2009 will be checker pattens, striped hoodies, cat ear hoodies, leg warmers, over knee socks, spiders, comic inspired clothing, trilby hats/fedoras, animal print skinny jeans, and vintage t-shirts.

So '08 trends to stay away from this year: Skinny jeans, Twilight (LET IT DIE ALREADY!), and Razrs (I admit I used to have one, but they are SOOO old!).
